TCS to set up world’s largest training centre in Kerala
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s largest software services exporter, is setting up the world’s largest corporate learning & development centre, with a capacity to train 15,000 professionals at a time and 50,000 professionals annually.
The TCS Learning Campus in Thiruvananthapuram spread over a 97-acre plot in the city’s Technopark will house residences for professionals & faculty.
The TCS Learning Campus will set a new benchmark for corporate learning worldwide. The iconic facility will produce world class professionals to meet the future needs of the IT industry.
The construction will provide direct jobs to around 2,000 locals (4-yrs). skill development programmes for the local youth will be an integral part of the project.
TCS, one of the largest private sector employers in India with 2.85 lakh professionals worldwide, plans to hire 50,000 more in 2013-14.
It has trained 143,000 IT professionals in India & abroad in the last 5 years alone.
